Emma Welford

I have worked in the exhibition industry for the past 17 years. I started out at the NAC selling and organising the Town & Country Festival on behalf of the Royal Agricultural Society and then moved on to an outdoor exhibition company based on Oxford dealing with trailers for the Ford Motor Company. After a phone call from the NEC, Birmingham I was persuaded to move into indoor exhibitions to work on the Antiques for Everyone Show. It was during a seven year stay at the NEC I first met with several members of the Expo team. I later moved to Expo Management where, in between maternity breaks, I have worked ever since on both Coach & Bus Live and Euro Bus Expo.

As Events Manager, I am responsible for the planning of each show, making sure everything is in place and that the events run smoothly for exhibitors, visitors and guests alike.

My dream event would be:

something to do with Shoes and Pants but not necessarily in that order! But as we now have the 2012 Olympics in London I think I’d like to be involved in that too.

my husband as he seems to think I sit around all day chatting about netball and other girlie things…….how wrong is he??
