Travel Trade Britain NEC Birmingham

We are delighted to inform you of the launch of a brand new exhibition EXCLUSIVELY for the Group Travel Trade that will be taking place at the NEC, Birmingham , on 3rd and 4th March 2009.

Expo Management publishes the leading routeONE and COACHmonthly magazines along with organising and owning the Coach Drivers Club of Great Britain and the CDC Handbook.  In addition, our Exhibitions Team organise the sector leading Euro Bus Expo and Coach & Bus Live Exhibitions.  We have also, in the past managed both Excursions and the Coach Tourism Shows.

Following the decision by Visit Britain to re locate the BTTF Show to Excel in London next year and also extend it for 4 days to welcome consumers, Expo and the NEC have received a high volume of requests by the group travel trade to offer an alternative, more focussed trade exhibition for industry professionals centrally located in the Midlands region.

We are pleased to announce that we have been able to act quickly, and with the full support of the NEC, we have put plans in place ready for an exciting NEW show, Travel Trade Britain 2009, taking place on Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th March.  The show will offer all exhibitors:

  • A genuine ‘trade only’ business environment

  • Access to target visitors who are Group Travel Trade buyers

  • Access to an extensive media database

  • A 2 day programme of business to business events

  • A ‘middle of the week’ show, avoiding a Friday trade day

  • A Show organiser with an extensive knowledge of the group travel sector

  • A range of key partners already committed to supporting the event

  • Competitively priced stand packages – LESS that at BTTF 08

  • A Midlands based event, conveniently located for visitors from all over Britain and overseas

Our launch plans will include the opportunity for other specialist media and specific trade associations to provide their full support for this event.  We shall be consulting widely with industry partners to ensure that Travel Trade Britain 2009 delivers what the market requires.

We are pleased to announce that stand prices will be competitively priced at £300 + VAT per square metre for Shell Stands and £250 + VAT per square metre for Open Space.  As a further incentive all reservations received and confirmed before the 6th June 2008, will qualify for an Early Bird discount.  These Early Bird prices will be further reduced to £250 + VAT per square metre for Shell, and £200 + VAT per square metre for Open Space.

In addition there will be NO corner stand premium. This means that a 2 x 2 m corner shell stand could cost £1,000 + VAT at Travel Trade Britain 2009, compared to £2,006 at BTTF 08, that’s a saving of over 50%!

Over the next few weeks, we will be in touch with you all directly to further discuss our detailed plans for this brand new event.  In the meantime, please find enclosed a ‘Stand Request’ form which will allow you to benefit from the ‘early bird’ discount scheme significantly reducing your exhibiting costs for targeting the group sector for 2009. Please fill this in with your approximate stand size requests and return to us and we’ll get back to you very soon with floor plan details to confirm your booking.

We hope you share our excitement at the prospect of an all new, trade only, Travel Trade Britain show at the NEC in March 2009.

If you have any queries or questions, then don’t hesitate to give our Events Team Manager, Helen Conway, a call on 01926 834796 or email us at info@traveltradebritain.com.

We look forward to supporting you in providing the group travel industry with a show in 2009 which it fully deserves.
